Reconnective Healing
YOUR RECONNECTIVE HEALING SESSION, WHAT TO EXPECT.
Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes, appropriate for the session. Keep in mind that you will be resting face up with your shoes off on a padded massage table during your session.
Scents, Fragrances and Aromas: Various scents, fragrances or aromas often appear during your sessions. Sessions should be as fragrance free as possible.
Jewelry, Belts, Coins, Cellphones, etc: Reconnective Healing is not subject to the filtering or interference of traditional "energy" healing. Reconnective Healing includes the full spectrum of pure energy, light and information. For this reason, it is not necessary to remove the above mentioned items from the body before a session as long as you are comfortable.
Optimal State of Mind: During the session you will be asked to lie down on a massage table. Close your eyes, and simply just let go. It is best to be in a state of expectancy, free of judgment and control of the outcome. Just observe what is going on and just be. It is not necessary, and in fact, not recommended, that you meditate, pray or attach to any specific outcome. Vibro-Acoustic Sound Therapy
Vibro-Acoustic Sound Therapy is the use of sinusoidal, low frequencies in the range of 30-120 hertz, sound pressure waves or transducer produced vibration blended with music for therapeutic use.
VAT (vibro-acoustic therapy) was created by Olav Skille, of Trondheim, Norway, in 1982. By 2001 over 40,000 hours of data have been collected by therapists.
VAT has a physical element that is more profound than most other therapies that use music and sounds as a therapeutic medium. Music and massaging frequencies are transferred directly to the body of the client, who is lying on a massage table which is equipped with transducers.
BASIC THEORY
Music heard through the ears is used for relaxation, to receive energy, to create moods and to serve as an auditive background for various purposes. Music of different kinds may influence our emotions while music with suggestions used in programs make it possible for the busy person of today to cope with stress more easily. It can also be used to improve the performance of athletes.
Acoustically speaking, the human body is like a balloon filled with water. If we imagine such a balloon being placed upon a series of loudspeakers and send bass sounds through these, we understand that the sound vibrations will be felt at any point of the surface of the balloon. The sound waves move through the water and transfer energy to the surface of the balloon. This means that all water molecules inside the balloon have been put into motion.
If we imagine a human being in the place of the balloon, the sound will move through the body-as if it were water-and we can feel the vibrations on the body surface. And-all cells inside the body have been vibrated by the sound waves. The body has received "internal massage", thus, organs in the body which we cannot reach by traditional methods-nerves, glands, lungs, heart, deep-lying blood vessels,brain tissue-are exposed to sound vibrations. This is the basic idea of all vibro-acoustic therapy.
Our boddies are exposed to sound massage in many ways. It is so common that we seldom give this fact a thought. When we speak or sing we produce sounds, and the vibrations from these sounds can be felt if we place our hands on the chest, back, larynx or the top of the skull of the person who is vocalizing. These vibrations are not dangerous for the human being. Whole Body Vibration Therapy
