Pregnancy or Pre-Natal Massage is specifically tailored to meet the needs of a pregnant woman's changing body. Pregnant women have shifts in weight distribution, an increase in blood volume, and hormonal changes that help the joints soften to allow for the baby to grow. These changes can lead to discomfort that can be addressed by massage. Special positioning is used for comfort and safety. Any complications or medical conditions should be reported to the therapist so the treatment can be modified as needed.
