Manual lymphatic drainage is a form of massage therapy in which we manipulate lymph flow. We do this by using gentle and rhythmic pumping techniques on the skin along the lymphatic vessels. The pumping motion is done in the direction of the lymphatic flow. This is very important because the lymphatic vessels carry substances that the body needs to properly function and defend itself against disease and illness. Lymphatic drainage has many benefits. It promotes healing, prevents illness, and is very relaxing and good for overall well-being.
