Cupping Therapy acts like a deep tissue massage, often applied on the back. Sometimes this is incorporated into your shiatsu session, or you can come in for just cupping. This is great for muscle tension or when you are coming down with a cold.

Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, shiatsu is sometimes referred to as "acupuncture without needles." During a session, a combination of pressure, kneading and stretching is applied along specific points and energetic channels in the body. This full body treatment is appled through clothing. Please wear a pair of loose comfortable pants and a t-shirt.

Swedish Massage:
This whole body treatment incorporates long, broad strokes that increase blood and lymph circulation and calm the nervous system. The main goals of a Swedish massage are gentle relaxation and stress reduction.

Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Rehabilitative Massage:
This anatomically specific work provides a concentrated focus on a specific part of the body and is generally applied with less lubricant to stretch the tissue rather than just knead it. Performed more slowly and with deeper pressure than Swedish, these techniques release fascial and muscle restrictions. This form of massage is often requested to treat injuries, and can increase mobility and provide relief from patterns of chronic pain.

Shiatsu or Therapeutic Massage
